Common Ground is an online resource run by the Women's Resource Center that is directed towards the community at Saint Mary's College. Common Ground is a tool to keep students and faculty informed and updated on happenings around campus as well as gain more knowledge on topics such as relationships, health issues, cultural diversity and gender. This year the Women's Resource Center and Common Ground have centered their focus around the question, What's Your Stake? What's your stake in... Ending violence against women? Making the world a more equitable place for men and women? Challenging sexism, racism, xenophobia and classism? Changing the world?

Women's Resource Center Mission Statement:
The Women's Resource Center is dedicated to creating a campus environment that empowers women to envision and engage in a life that maximizes their academic, personal, and spiritual growth. The Women's Resource Center uses a collaborative model and provides five main modules of service including: education, outreach, support, empowerment and referrals. It seeks to enhance the Saint Mary's learning experience by fostering a supportive, inclusive environment for women and men of all backgrounds, ages and belief systems, while promoting and practicing acceptance and collaboration. It strives to give students the knowledge and tools to recognize and challenge sexism, racism, ethnocentrism, classism, socialized gender roles, homophobia and other forms of oppression and 'isms' that affect women and men negatively.
